I was actually thinking the same thing watching Game 5 Garth. He may be a total douche off the ice, but really the guy is totally clutch. And in pro sports, that is really all that matters. |

Ah, my favorite part of the Stanley Cup Finals. A player who's been "meh" through most of the playoffs has a good game and suddenly they're the favorite for the Conn Smythe. Kane had a good game, it's true. But he should not win the Conn Smythe just because of that. For me, it's Krejci if the Bruins win and Crawford if the Hawks win. |

GARTH: Kane Smythe - garth
You picked Chicago to win it all? Ballsy pick.
Did you also have them beating Pittsburgh in the Finals? |

Agreed - the Conn Smythe isn't just about the final series. It considers performance for the entire play-offs (although, yes, granted there is a bit more consideration given for the last round, but it's the entire play-off body of work).
Kane was invisible in many games in the first and second rounds.
I agree that Crawford should get it if the Hawks win, and Krejci or Rask if it's the Bruins |

Although he hasn't been putting up that many points, I'd still take Toews over Kane any day of the week. He's been solid defensively all playoffs long and leads by example. Huge heart, tenacity and a winning attitude = Toews |

Sharp deserves the Conn Smythe more than anyone else on the Hawks'. He's been the most consisten effort guy coupled along with production. Sharp would be my pick if the Hawks' win the cup. |

Funny, Kane was missing the whole playoffs until now... now he's the fav to win the Conn Symthe? http://www.hockeybuzz.com...Me/128/51941#.UciEAfmkqDs - Slacker
Ah, how quickly we forget that hat-trick he had to send the Blackhawks to the Cup Finals! I'm not much of a Kane guy, but the kid is one of the most talented players in the game. He has been a bit of a disappearing act at times, but the reality is, when they've needed him the most, he's delivered in spades. |
